Panic by Lauren Oliver- The NON-SPOILERY REVIEW

So this little ARC came on my Kindle yesterday. I'm pretty sure I looked like a mad woman when I got it. Of course, I sat and read it ASAP. This review will be NON-SPOILERY. I will tell you what I think about some of the characters, but I won't reveal anything major from the plot.

Panic began as so many things do in Carp, a dead-end town of 12,000 people in the middle of nowhere: because it was summer, and there was nothing else to do.

Heather never thought she would compete in Panic, a legendary game played by graduating seniors, where the stakes are high and the payoff is even higher. She’d never thought of herself as fearless, the kind of person who would fight to stand out. But when she finds something, and someone, to fight for, she will discover that she is braver than she ever thought.

Dodge has never been afraid of Panic. His secret will fuel him, and get him all the way through the game, he’s sure of it. But what he doesn't know is that he’s not the only one with a secret. Everyone has something to play for.

For Heather and Dodge, the game will bring new alliances, unexpected revelations, and the possibility of first love for each of them—and the knowledge that sometimes the very things we fear are those we need the most.

I want to tell all the Lauren Oliver fans that this book won't dissappoint you. It's perfect and beautiful. And for those who said that it will turn into a series- I can assure you it won't. I'm starting from there. The ending. It was so well wrapped up. I mean, there were no loose ends, at least not for me. The book is well paced. It doesn't drag and it doesn't make you want to skip pages. But it's not constant action. There are discriptions of people and places and things.
I have read many reviews that say that this book will be like The hunger games. I don't think it is. For one in the huner games people are selected and they have to participate. It doesn't matter that they don't want to. And in The Hunger games the biggest reward that you get is that you live.
I liked the caharacters. Heather more than Dodge. I don't know why. Probably because Heather is a girl. Don't get me wrong I like boys. I'm not a lesbian. But there was something off about Dodge.
Now there were those little romances. I really expected the two main characters to fall in love, however, that didn't happen. Bishop is a great character. I love him. He is great and sweet and I still love him. He and Heather are my new couple to ship.
Then Heather's mother. Ok, that was like...WOW. I can't even write about her. What sort of mother is she? No, I won't spoil the book for you. You have to wait and read.

Ok, I guess this is my NON-SPOILERY review for today. I hope you like it and I hope you like the book too, once it comes out.

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer

So Cress is coming soon and I'm very very exited. I decided to re-read the first book.

This was a good read. I'm not disappointed that I bought it, but I wasn't thrilled either. It's a retelling of Cinderella, where the main heroine, Cinder, is a cyborg.
I liked that the stepmother wasn't just that evil figure in the whole story. Yeah, she was still pretty mean to Cinder, but she looked more human. she had lost a husband she had loved (I presume!) and she is still grieving him. And like many people do,she is blaming the newest thing in the house-Cinder. She was doing anything she had to survive. Even if it meant selling Cinder for money or making her daughter marry young.
The prince was...well, he was the prince. Nothing special, nothing extraordinary. He was charming and handsome, but he lacked a brain. I mean, he was going to marry Levana. Are you dumb? Seriously! Are you? She is the queen of evil. The ambassador of Evilland. The empress of Evilness. And you know it. And you still are willing to marry her. And don't tell me it's for the good of the country cause I bet at least half of it is because you think she is beautiful and the other half is simply because you're dumb idiot.
And then here comes the part when at the ball we find out Cinder is one of those people from the moon. And her charm falls. And the prince is like: You lied to me. You never loved me. It was all a lie. Levana take her as your prisoner.You may kill her if you want. (he didn't say that, but he knows that Levana will do it) I don't get it. Do you loved her for her beauty or for her personality. She was clever and funny and she supported you and encouraged you. Yeah, she didn't tell you she was a cyborg, because she didn't want you to run away screaming. Because she may have loved you. But you are too stupid to understand love, aren't you, Charming?
A thing I liked was that not both sisters were mean to Cinder. Of course, the bigger one would be mean, but she was under her mother's influence much more. Peoni I loved. She was so sweet. With her obsession with the prince and everything. I was kind of sad when she got ill. But things at the end of the book got so complicated that I couldn't understand if she died or not.
A thing I couldn't really understand was how androids looked. I got that they are short and I found out about all the things they could do, but I couldn't imagine Iko or Nancy at all. I imagined Nancy mostly like a robotic dog and Iko like some kind of very short robot that moved around on wheels.
so yeah! If I think harder I would be able to write much more. But I'm lazy and I have to finish another book.

This cover is so much better than the Bulgarian one. In this one you can see the threads and Adelis's face. The Bulgarian cover is just black with photo a of a red-haired girl that looks like photoshopped!

The plot:

The idea of the book is very interesting and original. I like the main character Adelice. She wasn't annoying or stupid, but the first 75% of the book were slow for me. I'm saying it like there are another 75%! :) But the last part of the book was very very good. And the end was just great. That's how most dystopian books should end. I'm not planning on reading the second book soon, because I have other plans before the year is over.

Jost and Erik:

OK! The one most annoying thing in the book was the potential love triangle. I'm not of big fan of love triangles anyway.

 I'm so happy that Adelice chose Jost. I liked him better the whole time. At least I hope she chose Jost! She did, right? I figured out the two of them were brothers pretty fast. Which made me even more annoyed. A love triangle with two brothers and a girl? So Vampire Diaries style! But I'm happy with the way things closed.
SPOILER STOP!!!
 And my only concern is that Adelice will switch the brothers in the second book. Or worse, that I'll switch teams! I mean, it has happend a lot before.

Emily and Adelice's mother: SPOILERS!!

I have thi little theory that Jost's daughter and Emily are actually the same person. I just have this feeling. I'm probably wrong, but still...Maybe they just remaped Adelice's and her parents' brains to make them thing she is their daughter when actually she is not. That would be cool and strange. And where do you think Adelice's mother is? She is alive for sure, but where can she be hiding.

Hourglass:

Now this mark Adelice's father left on her hand. And hourglass. What do you think it means? I think it's like the symbol of revolution agains Aras. And her father was secretly involved in the planning of the revolution. On the other hand it may mean the Adelice has to save Aras. Sort of, like her time is running out. That's why an hourglass.

 I guess that's all. The book is not bad and in the end it's simply amazing. What do you think? Comment, please!

This is a book that came out a week ago.  If you haven't read it then what have you been doing in the last week? Go read it! NOW!

I read Angelfall in August and I liked it. I mean I liked it much, but the second book....Oh, this book I want to hug. I just love it. I find books about angels hard to write, because I haven't read a good book about angels before this trilogy. I tried reading Fallen by Lauren Kate, but it was so slow! And I'm curently reading Hush, hush by Becca Fitzpatrick and I'm not impressed!

Raffe

I really expected him to appear earlier in the book. And when I say "appear" I mean him and Penryn meeting. I loved the moment they met. How they were just staring at each other and Raffe had this expresion on his face. I was just grinning like a Cheshire cat for the rest of the book. I just love Raffe, but his name is still making me laugh. How could the author make a nickname from Rafael? And for those of you who don't know, Raffe is also the name of a Bulgarian singer. He is around twenty and he is short, a bit of fat and has brown hair. He is a good singer though. But try imagining him as book Raffe. Yeah, I know!

Paige

We had a lot of focus on Paige in this book. What happend to her and what they did to her was just awful. Having those things done to a little girl *Shiver!* And then the Stockholm syndrome! Maybe it's true that Beliel was the nicest person to Paige, I mean, as nice as he can be. Right? He understood her, but that doesn't mean Paige is a monster like he said. I was mad at Penryn at some points of the book, because she won't look Paige in the eyes. Her sister is suffering and she won't even look at her. What kind of sister are you?

Pookybear 

That's one of the best swords in the whole Universe! And the name is great. Don't you dare say it's a stupid name. Everyone is afraid of that name. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. I loved the moment when the sword was helping Penryn to learn how to fight by creating those visions or maybe those were jsut glimses of the past.

Panryn's mother

 And Penryn's mom was as crazy as ever. In a good way. I think my favourite moment was when they said there was this woman running aroud opening the fire exits and Penryn was like: This is probably my mom! And I was very shocked when I found out she had stolen this prototype her husband was working on. He got fired for it and left them. What the hell? Who does such a thing? I guess a crazy person!

Dee/ Dum

I almost missed two of the most hillarious and great characters. I loved them and the fact that they are alway suggesting fights between girls. That always makes me laugh! Dee and Dum weren't a big deal in this book. I mean, they were. They helped Penryn, as always, but they made an apearance like twice so....

This book is just a big ball of awesomeness and kick-ass-ness and a little romance. And it's totally worthed! Go read it! And comment!

OK! It's that time! I think everyone has seen my Divergent review. I did it after I finished Allegiant, because I can't just write a review of the third book withour writing one on the first book.

As you can see there are a lot of exclamation marks.

The Ending

We all know that's what everyone's talking about these days. The Ending or as I call it: That time Veronica Roth decided to turn into George R.R. Martin. I have been heearing all kinds of things about this ending. From: That's the worst ending ever! to That was the most beautiful ending ever! I must say I liked the ending. It was very...poetic. I mean, someone had to die. Right? And we all expected it to be Four. I wanted him to die at some point of the book. Don't get me wrong! I love Four. I would love to marry him and live with him, but if I had to choose between Tris and Four, Four will have to die. Cause we all love Tris! Tris has grown on me, because we are alike. Yeah, I know that sounds dull and stupid and I'm not saying that I'm ready to get shot to save my brother. But who knows? Maybe I'll know if I had a brother or a sister to protect! And even if I'm not like a Tris I can't help, but admire her. She is so selfless! I don't think anyone can be that selfless.
But let's continue on The Ending. I had lots of theories for it. 1. Four is gonna die!
2. Chicago will get restarted! 3. Four or Triss will have to take the Memory serum! 4. Happy end!
So, yeah none of those happend, but they would have made great endings, all of them. Well, maybe not the first one.
And now what's going to happen in the future? I bet Four will make the world a better place for Tris's sake. Hell, he'll probably make a statue of her in the center of Chicago!
Oh and one more thing. You all know there are going to be Divergent movies. Imagine how will all of us feel when the third movie comes out. We will have to live trough it all over again. All the tears and the pain and the depression.
I never believed that Tris was really dead. When she saw her mother's "ghost" I thought she was hallucinating and that it's because of the death serum. Or maybe her mother was a divergent and she survived. Was Tris's mom Divergent? I remeber reading about it, but it might have been jist some FanFiction!
 And then they told Four about it and I didn't believe it. I was like: No, she is alive! Thay only think she is dead! Or she is in coma and she is gonna wake up in the end of the book! The book is probably gonna end on her opening her eyes! Yes, that's how books end! Alas, I stopped believing it when they scattered her ashes. Now I won't talk about this anymore, because I'm going to cry again. I almost cried in Maths today when a friend of mine told me she had just started "Insurgent". A fangirl can only take this much feels for less than 24 hours!

Character deaths (I blame Four!!):

So Uraih! Poor great cool funny Uraih! I'll miss him very mutch. I felt like: Ok, so Tris died, but Uraih's going to live! Right? Nope, not a chance! And I must say that his death was an accident and I don't blame anyone.......Who am I kidding? I blame Four! You should have listened to you girlfriend you stupid hot-headed sexy idiot! But you got what you deserved. Well, almost! Zeke should have punched you. That would have taught you! And talking about how Four was stupid, lets talk about Nita! I never liked her. She just had that vibe that shouted "bad" around her. I'm happy she ended in prison. And if you have been following my reading updates you have already seen the "kind" note I wrote her!
Umm...Where was I? Sorry I got distracted by Percy Jackson! So many fandoms, so little time! *sight* Oh, yeah! Another character  I'm gonna miss very very much is Tori! Dear, badass Tori. Oh, she could have had a happy ending! If she had gotten to the campground she could have met her brother and she could have been happy. But she didn't! She died! Thank you very much, Miss Roth! I really thought she will be a part of the team that reaches the Fence. And then she just died. Like that! I always remebered her as a great person, I mean character. She was good to Tris and helped her, but I recently re-read Insurgent and she wasn't very likable in it. She didn't trust Tris and she was just so obsessed with killing Janine!

Petere, Christina and other people who are still alive:

Now Peter time! There were these moments in the book where I really liked him! I know people hate him, but he saved Tris's life a few times and in this book we find oyt that this acident with Edward was really an accident. I wish Veronica Roth had told us what really happend. And in this book those little jokes with Four and stuff. I'm happy things ended well for him. Yeah, he chose the cowardy way by getting the Abneration serum, but he was happy. For some people is too hard to live with awful things they have done. And he chose to forget them. Case closed!
Christina. Blessed, saint Christina! She was a great friend and her and Tris's realtionship lasted so long. They stayed friends until the end. And yeah, they had a great big fight, because Tris shot Will, but they got over it. And there was this friendship between Christina and Four after Tris died. Christina stopped Four from taking The Abneration serum and she was there for him. I think Christina lost almost all people she loved. I mean, this girl must be cursed to love guys who die. And now you say "There was only Will!" But I'm sure there could have been something between her and Uraih. Am I the only one who saw it?
Four's mother was...well, I liked her in the end. That moment when she gave up ruling Chicago for her son was just great. And when they meet again they are like a family and she is there for him.
Caleb! I stopped liking him in the end of the first book. I had this feeling he is not gonna be good and I was right. He shouldn't have let Tris take the serum instead of him. Yep, I blame him.

Tris and Four relationship:

Tris anf Four's realtionship was up and down in this book. In Divergent it was all perfect and lovely. Kisses and love, love, love! In Insurgent we get the first fight, the lies and so on. And in Allegiant they are in some middle ground. They fight, but theu still love each other. That made their ralationship seem much more real.

Quotes:

This book is big on quotes. Funny quotes and clever ones. I'm just going some of my favourites with you:

But that wasn´t the first time I ever saw her. I saw her in the hallways at school, and at my mother’s false funeral, and walking the sidewalks in the Abnegation sector. I saw her, but I didn’t see her; no one saw her the way she truly was until she jumped. I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last.

 

I  didn't know that idiocy caused people to just start spontaneously bleeding from the nose.

The first step to loving someone else is to recognize the evil in ourselves, so we can forgive them.

 “Yes," she says, her eyes bright with tears. "My dear child, you've done so well.” (This one always makes me cry!)

Being honest doesn't mean you say whatever you want, wherever you want. It means that what you choose to say is true.

 It's Not sacrifice if it's someone else's life you're giving away, it's just evil.

About the last quote. Who the hell said that? I'm pretty sure that was the thing that made Tris go in the Weapons room instead of Caleb!

Divergent by Veronica Roth

So I want to write a review of my favourite book ever. Divergent by Veronica Roth!! If you haven't read this book, then what have you been doing with your life, people? So, yeah, read it, re-read it, because it's awsome!

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue--Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is--she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles alongside her fellow initiates to live out the choice they have made. Together they must undergo extreme physical tests of endurance and intense psychological simulations, some with devastating consequences. So, I won't talk abou the world in this book. Because whatever you have to learn, you can from the description of it. They idea is quite original. I read this last year and I still haven't found a dystopian book that has the similar idea. When I first got the book, I thought it will be something about superheroes and stuff like that. But I was really wrong. Divergents are not superheroes, they don't have and strange powers. I think they're just more developed than he others. They can be honest and clever and brave at the same time, for example!

Characters:

There are great, likeable characters in the book, characters you can fall in love with and characters you want to kiss and...do other things. And then there are some characters you want to strangle or trow a knife at or trow in The Pit or fire a gun at or make them live in their Fear Landscape.

 

Lets start with the main heroine, Beatris "Tris" Prior. She is a character I always wanted to be like. She is selfless and brave and clever. I thing the hardest of them all for me would be being brave. Is there anything I don't like in Tris? She doesn't stop talking abot how she is not the prettiest girl and she is not good enough. I don't know if someone else noticed it, but it was poking me in the eyes all the time. Did you notice it? Also, I always imagined Tris as Veronica Roth although they are completely different.

Moving on. Best Male Lead Role goes to Four. He is, of course. the love interest in this book. A thing in this book I'm very grateful for is that there is no love triangle. Just Tris and Four and no other gyus and girls showing up there and spoiling the fun. Four being Tris's instructor made me imagine him as much older than he actually is. Well, Tris didn't exactly pay that much attention to his looks. Yeah, she metioned his eyes, but other  than that nothing. I really wasn't suprised to find out from which Cast he came. Tris's mother helped a lot.

Christina was a fun character. And again I couldn't imagine her as she was described in the book. In my mind she had long black hair and green eyes.  I can't really say much about her. She was a good friend to Tris. Although I was reall pissed when she was jealous of Tris for being the best in Initiation. Really, is that all it takes to start being a fair weather friend? But enough on this. The Will/Christina relationship was very sweet. Too bad they didn't get a chance to be together.

Now I just want to rant about Will. SPOILERS! Tris could have just shot him in the hand or something like that. But no, she had to kill him. That should have gave the fans the hint that there is going to be death in this trilogy, lot's of death!  As someone who has already read Allegiant, I should know! SPOILERS END!

Other characters:

Now my least favourite character was All! Most people think it's Erik, but at least Erik wasn't whiny and afraid to punch someone. All started okay as a character, but as the book went on, he became less likeable and then he became grumpy and then he attacked Tris. I think she was right not to forgive him. I wouldn't have either! And why did he even choose Dauntless if he is afraid to fight? I wouldn't want to puch my friends, but that was just once and after that he became a cry baby. And I think the simulations really freaked him out. Maybe he had too many fears. I won't be suprised actually.

And Erick! I didn't like him. And I don't think he is really the evil guy. He is just being used by Janine. And you know he is a grown-up Peter. He is just jealous of Four. Oh, and I like to imagine Peter actually has a crush on Tris, but he doesn't know how to flirt. That's why he is so mean. I would really like that. I would like to see that he isn't that evil and that he is just hiding behind this fasade.

Tris's mother was a character I really want to know more about. She is kind of mystirious. We know she used to be Dauntless and she became Abneration, because she was a Divergent. But that's what Tris know! And we all know that you can't trust what the main character assumes.

Oh, and I almost forgot Uraih! Maybe he ws truly the best friend Tris had in this book. I mean, they didn't spend that much time together, but he helped her and he was funny. Not that those are the mostimportant qualities, but I like him nevertheless!

And I totally forgot about Tori. I don't really think her brother is dead. He probably ran away when he found out he was Divergent.There is this thing I don't like in her, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

 

Fear Landscape:

Now the Fear landscape was a very interesting moment in the book. I will surely have more than seven fears. But less than twenty. I probably won't be able to calm down or face my fears and I'll be stuck in my fears forever. As much as I would like to imagine otherwise!

 

I recommend this book to EVERYONE! Just read it people! It's awsome and you won't be able to put it down!

Oh check this thing I found:  That's how I felt the day Allegiant came out! And I think we all know how I felt after I finished reading it!

OK, so time to review one of my favourite books of all time.

 It's been several generations since a genetic experiment gone wrong caused the Reduction, decimating humanity and giving rise to a Luddite nobility who outlawed most technology.

Jane Austen:

I can begin to tell you how much I love Jane Austen! I have been in love with her novels since I read Pride and Prejudice! Alas, I'm the only person who loves her in my family. My relatives think Jane Austen writes girly books and that that kind of literature is not good enough for  their tastes. But enough on my relatives. I haven't read Persuasion yet. It's the only Austen novel I haven't read. Shame on me! But this book has been on my shelf for ages and I'm very happy I picked it up!

Reading:

I have been having trouble sleeping these days so after I woke up at 4 AM this morning I decided to start this book. And I loved it. (I think I said that already! Several times!) It's a very fast read. It took me around 4 hours to read it. And I was tire and sleepy.

World:

The book is set in a dystopian world. In the future after The reduction there are now two races of people. The Ludite aka. the great, good and rich and The Reduce- their slaves, servants, workers. So mainly before the Reduction the Reducted wanted to improve themselfs so they started making themselfs better body parts and new eyes, you get it. Right? But a group of people refused to improve themselfs. That group were the Ludite. But the improvements went too far and the people who were improved became very disorientated. You can call it stupid, too! So the Ludite became the masters and the Reduced- their slaves. But The genes of The Reduced started getting normal again and the new generations became cleverer and cleverer. Those were the so called Children of The Reduction. They are the same as Ludite generations, they can think and speak and they are normal. Like you and me! (Well, technically I'm not normal!) But The Children of The Reduction were discriminated. So that's the world where the story is set. I explained it because for people who haven't read the book it will be easier to understand it if they read this first!

Elliot North:

I loved Elliot. Firstly, if you have read Persuasion youu have already noticed the name similarity Anne Elliot/ Elliot. Then Ellliot was a working girl. She took care for everything after her mother died. She could live in the same house with her sister and father without killing them. (Something I wouldn't have been able to do!) And she wanted to leave and see the world with Kai, but she stayed. Because she is responsible and she puts other people's needs before herself. And she broke the law. She experimented on the seeds so there could be food so her friend and family and the other Reduced won't die.

Kai:

Kai was an enjoyable character. Of course, I was very anoyed with hima at times. I just wanted to shout at him: Can you see she still loves you? And you love her. Don't try to hide it. Just freaking tell her. But in the end everything was alright. Kai became himself again and it was hreat.

The Ending and a little before that:

This is the moment weh I say how much I hate Elliot's father. He was so mean and selfish and the only thing he ever thought about were money and himself. And sometimes about how to entertain himself. But I think I have mixed feeling about him, because on the other hand he wasn't broughtup to be a leader. They just thaught him how to be a party boy. I was just so mad at him after Elliot's grandpa died and he left that will. But as always Elliot did the right thing. She made  a bargain with Tatiana, her also annoying sister. And again Elliot proves to be a working girl and makes not one, but two masions wealthy. Now moving on to The Ending. It was so great! I loved it. Sailing away to see the world and to find other survivors.

Ro:

And how couldn't I mention Ro. She was alovely little thing. I think she was example that the Redused are not brainless. She was actually clever. She couldn't speak or write or read, but how can anyone be sure what she is thinking. Maybe she is cleverer than all of them. And the moment when they re-named her to Tommorow was...was..well, I actually have no word for it.

Vicious by V.E. Schwab

So, this is my first review on this blog and I'm not sure how to start it. Let me give you some information about the book first.

A masterful, twisted tale of ambition, jealousy, desire, and superpowers.

Ten years later, Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl whose reserved nature obscures a stunning ability. Meanwhile, Eli is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered person that he can find—aside from his sidekick, an enigmatic woman with an unbreakable will. Armed with terrible power on both sides, driven by the memory of betrayal and loss, the archnemeses have set a course for revenge—but who will be left alive at the end?




Sounds cool, right? And let me tell you it's one of the best books I have ever read. I love Victoria Schwab. I have read all of her books and I'm probably gonna write reviews on them soon. I'll Try to devide this review into part like: Characters, World, Ending. And there will be a Spoilers Alert in big red letters, because I don't want to spoil the book for people who haven't read it yet.

Characters:  Super cool people and some not so cool people and some awful people:

There are all types of people in this book. And you can't really say: This one is good! or This one is bad. They are all a mash of good and bad, they are compicated human beings like all of us. And that, of course, makes them realistic which is a thing I love in books. It's really so hard to find realistic characters these days. Most of the time I see whiny Bellas, artistic Clarys, clever Annabeths etc.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
 Now people who have read the book will probably ask me who I prefer, Eli or Victor? I must say Victor. I don't even know why. Maybe because he didn't see himself as good. He knew not all things he was doing were good. He wanted revenge. If I were him I would have done the same. Well, not exactly the same, but I would have wanted revenge too. I couldn't see anything good in Eli. Victor hated him and I started hating him too. Even when reading through his perspective I couldn't stop disliking him. But as I said he did what he believed was right. (Even though it was wrong!) Maybe there are people out there who think Eli did the right thing. I almost expected Eli to kill Serena, because of that time when he said:

You are going to forget to say those words some day.

I don't know what to think of Serena. What kind of sister does the thing she did? Really, I know you became heartless after you died, but you must have some humanity or love left in you,woman. If not for your parents then at least for your sister. But she did the right thing in the end. I'm not quite sure why she killed herself. (I decided to call it like that. After all she ordered Mitch to fite the gun!) Maybe she finally saw that what Eli did was wrong. Or maybe it was because she loved her sister and didn't want Eli to kill her. (Sidney, not Serena!) I don't know! And I probably never will!

Moving on to Sidney. I had a hard time imagining her as a 13 year old. I imagined her as a 16 year old or as a little child. And she is practicly in the middle. I can't say much about her. She was a good character. Maybe the purest thing in this book.(If we don't count her dog, Dol!) I loved her in the end of this book. But about that later. Who is next? Oh, yes Mitch. He was...well, I can't exactly describe him. Even though there were chapters from his perspective I never got into his personality. Nevertheless I liked him. Really, I don't know why and I don't have anything to say about him I just thought he was a good character.

The Ending:

Now!! Let's talk about *Drums, please!* THE ENDING! After reading around 90% of the book I had the feeling that both Victor and Eli were going to die. It just couldn't have a happy ending. It was not right. And it didn't have a happy ending. Victor died and Eli was sent to jail. I'm wondering if he is immortal then is he going to stay in jail forever. I wish! I kind of imagine him in jail. Still looking 21, but infact 60. (He is like Dorian Grey, you know? But at least Dorian killed himself in the end!) So Eli is in jail and years pass and he is still there and can't get out, because his only power is regeneration. And as time passes people forget who he is or what he did and don't let him out. And then the jail gets abandoned and they forget about him. So he stays there forever and one day in desperation he kills himself. Or maybe he doesn't and he stays there forever. Yeah, my imagination running wild. So, lets go back to Victor. He dies. I was going to cry when he died, but I didn't. Because I knew Sidney will bring him back. I was laughing out loud and dancing around the room when I read the last sentence. It's good I wasn't in a public place when I read the end, but in my room. People would have thought I was crazy.
I like to imagine what happend after the end. Like did Sindey and Victor and Mitch lived togheter. What are they going to do now that Eli is gone. Maybe Victor is going to become a doctor or they will start training other EOs to use thier powers. Like X-men! That would be cool but I don't see it happenning. (Well, actually I do. I imagine it quite clearly. But it's never going to happen! So...) Or maybe they part ways and live different lifes. No, that's not going to happen! I like them being together!!

The World:

And now last, the world. The book was set in the not-so-far future. It wasn't that different from the present really. But there were EOs and technology and that kind of things. It really felt at times like it was set in some different place or dimention.

Recommendation:

I recommend this book to anyone who likes YA or books about heroes or dystpian books and even if you don't like any of those, you still should read this book. It's the best!
