Fire and Thorns Trilogy by Rae Carson

I have started reviewing series like that! So lets dive into my favourite series of the year so far. Sooooooooo goooood! I loved all three of those books and very soon you will too! Just go read them! Please! You won't regret it, believe me! This is one of the best trilogies ever! I think, I said that alread. Oh well! *shrugs*

Firstly, look at those covers! They are so pretty! So so so pretty. And they match up with the content. So let's start with the world, because that's the first thing that impressed me. It a world filled with magic and eastern-like culture. There are several big countries: Orovalle, Joya d'Arena, Invierte (and later Basajun) In Invierte live the animgi, who are powerfull, but evil people/nation, able to use the magic sourse. Orovalle and Joya d'Arena (and all the other countries) are fighting against Invierte and their chances are not good against the animagi.
Also every hundred years a Bearer is born. Those are peope chosed by God to do great things, unfortunately most of them die young and never complete their task. Oh, and they have a blue stone is their stomach. Like literary! I can't even imagine it. Having a saphire like stone on your stomach.
The main heroine Lucero-Elisa or Elisa for short is one of those bearers. That's the plot.
So, Elisa. The book starts on her wedding day si it's a bit confusing. Before i finally sat and read the book, I had been trying to start it for a year, but after reading the first page I just stopped and went to read something else. It's not that it wasn't interesting, but I was so unsure if the book's going to be good. I just didn't want to be disappointed.
So let's get back to Elisa. The first thing that amazed me about her was the fact that she was fat. Like very fat. And that made her unique, come on, you have to agree we don't see many fat heroines, princesses on top of that in YA. All of them are slim and badass and make us envy them. Then comes the Godstone in her belly. I couldn't and still can't imagine what a living Godstone looks like. Is it just this stone on top of your stomach, covering it or is it inside of you. Or maybe it's just like someone shoved a stone in your stomach and it stayed there? I don't know. I imagine it like this crystalised thing covering a part of the stomach.
Then I saw how insecure Elisa was and that bugged me a bit. She was so quite, so...good. And then there was the attack in the first book and she was so brave and selfless. I knew then that she is going to change and become strong and independent. And she did. Her development through the books is fantastic! Just brilliant and so real in the same time. In the first book when she lead the Maleficio. That's when she got really cool and in the second book she was still a bit unsure and was letting other people take disissions for her, but by the end she was a total badass. And adding bonus poins for getting slimmer and prettier and crossing the desert (twice!).
Now, Alodia and Elise's relationship. That was very interesting. It was very similar to the sister relationship in Cruel beauty by Rosamund Hodge, and yet so different. I really thought Alodia was a bit mean and didn't really trust her untill maybe the thrird book. I didn't like that she was so mean with Elisa when they were little and made Elisa blame herself for her mother's death. That's really cruel. Imagine a child living with the thought that it killed it's mother. That would depress an adult, let alone a child. But Alodia really turned out to be good. She really believed in her sister.
And then comes the other character Ximena. She is very secretive, if you ask me. I need to know more about her, for she is always keeping secrets. Rae Carson needs to write a novella about her. Or better yet a book about when Ximena was young (maybe an assasin) and having great adventures.
Alejandro! I didn't like him. From the very beginning I knew he wouldn't be a good king. He was just so weak. For God's sake, man. Get yourself together! You had your wife save your ass, twice! And when they arrived and he didn't annouce she was his wife...I was so frustrated. You take her out of Orovalle and bring her to this vast unknown country, where she has no friends and no one to rust except Ximena and you don't even announce her as your wife! That's just...just....UGH1 So there are many reasons I don't like Alejandro. But there is this one thing I like about him. He has the most wonderful, sweet son in the world. And it's mainly genes and Alejandro doesn't have time for his some, but the boy, Rosario, is so sweet. I want to hug him and then laugh and laugh and laugh untill they deside to send me to the madhouse. The moment I remember (also one of the reasons I hate Aleandro and love Rosario) is when Elisa comes back to court, slim and pretty and dressed like a savage tribe leader. She was all cool! And what does Alejandro do? He stand up and stares at her boobs. You have spent months with this woman and yet you can't recognise her because she is a bit tinner and prettier? Way to go there. And then comes Rosario, who has spent one afternoon with Elisa, just one, and yet he recognises her. How can you not love this boy?
Cosme and Humberto and Belen and Mara! Oh, and father Alentin! How can one book have so many secondary characters that I love? My favourite is Cosme. It's too bad we don't see her much in the second and the third book. She was mean and awful in a great part of the first book, but she has her reasons and she was so selfless when it came to protecting those she cares for. And she grew on me. That's all! Humberto wasn't bad. He had this crush on Elisa that I knew wouldn't live long (literary). I loved Mara and I'm not sure how I feel about Belen. He wasn't good in the first book, but then he was fine and yeah, he is not bad!
Storm! Oh, Storm! Tjis guy is so cool! I just can't! I can't even talk about him without grinning like a toatl idiot. Of course, I didn't like him at first, but the he (like Cosme and so many other characters) grew on me and I need a separate story about this guy! Or him and Alodia! They need to be together.
Hector! Hector! Hector! HECTOR! He....I....Elisa.....just Hector. I think he wasn't a big part of the first book and with Alejandro there, we can't pay much attention to him. Plus there was war. Sooo, yeah. I didn't really notice him. (Except those time when I couldn't stop thinking that he might just be a love interest) But, OMG! Wait untill the second and the thrid book. Hector and Elisa can make me laugh and cry and be happy and then depressed just by talking. Like that moment on the island in the second book...Does anybody remember that?  That is probably my favourite Hector/Elisa hot moment and coversation after that ever! Of course I can't say it's their best moment, but still it was very very good. And, yeah, the dission to marry Hector was all kind of obvious! Like really, Elisa? He is a lord and he is going to inherit money and land and you can't just think: Hey, he is rich and handsome, he is a good alliance and I love him. Why don't I marry him? But, yeah! Hector is Hector and I love him and him and Elisa are my new OTP!
And one last thing (you are probably happy that this monstrous review is coming to an end!) Did anybody notica how dependant is almost everyone in the books of magic? For example, Elise loses her Godstone and she can't heal people anymore or fight the animagi or use the heavenly fire. She can't to anything. She isn''t bad at fighting, but you have to admit she loses a lot of powers when she loses the stone. Alos her Heavenly mission was to find a oasis! What the hell? What kind of mission is that? Sh saved her own kingdom three times! She saved all the other countries, she found the mistical power source, zafira, and she managed to destroy the Invierte power source and free Hector and rule Joya d'Arena! And in the end she found a oasis and her Godstone fell out. Maybe a hundred or a thousand years later someone is going to be saved by this oasis and that's the point. Like this bearer who dug a well and it helped the village 300 years later.
I can say a lot of things about those books if I think some more, but you won't probably read it (whoever you are!). I hope you enjoyed the review and sorry it was so long!
This is one of the best book series ever and I adore it. That's it!
I'll see ya next time!

The Diviners by Libba Bray

Ok, so I love Libba Bray! Her books are great and her writing style is great and she really works for her books to be good. I think so far the Diviners is my favourite book. I give you...my review.

7728889
Evie O’Neill has been exiled from her boring old hometown and shipped off to the bustling streets of New York City—and she is pos-i-tute-ly ecstatic. It’s 1926, and New York is filled with speakeasies, Ziegfeld girls, and rakish pickpockets. The only catch is that she has to live with her uncle Will and his unhealthy obsession with the occult.

Evie worries he’ll discover her darkest secret: a supernatural power that has only brought her trouble so far. But when the police find a murdered girl branded with a cryptic symbol and Will is called to the scene, Evie realizes her gift could help catch a serial killer.

As Evie jumps headlong into a dance with a murderer, other stories unfold in the city that never sleeps. A young man named Memphis is caught between two worlds. A chorus girl named Theta is running from her past. A student named Jericho hides a shocking secret. And unknown to all, something dark and evil has awakened.

NON-Spoilery part
Do you see this big massive book? Well, of course you do! And I suppose you are affarid of reading it,because it's big and scary and it would take ages to read it. Will you change your mind if I hit you with it over the head? No? Then I should tell you this is a great book. You shouldn't be affraid of it's size. It's so great I can't even begin describing it. I love all books set in the 20's. Not that I have read so many. I pos-i-tute-ly loved the jazz and the parties and you betsky I loved the way all characters, especially Evie, talked. But I should warn you this book is all kinds of creepy too. So if you don't like creepy stuff and ghosts and murders in your books then this is not your cup of tea.
SPOILERS! LOTS AND LOTS OF SPOILERS!!
Ok so the first thing that comes to my mind now are the pairings. I mean, I expected Evie to fall for Memphis or for Sam, but Jericho....never!! He was the boy Mabel liked and Evie never showed particular interest in him. She was flirting with Sam all the time, but with Jericho- never. Then in the end of the book they kind of get together. And then comes Theta and Memphis. Another couple I never thought about. Really, who would have guessed! The poet Memphis and the showgirl Theta. But I must say it worked out well. A thing about this book that I loved was that the romance wasn't the main thing. There was some of it in the end, but that's all.
Now going to the creepy stuff. I just got the Naughty John song stuck in my head this month and I was scaring my friends. Really! Singing this song in class is not a good idea. It was noisy so I started singing it quietly. And then the class went silent and I just continued singing! Yep, it was very a great fun for me!*sarcasm*
I was creeped out of the chapters where Naughty John got those people killed. Meaning: I loved them! And they were just so awful and scary and disgusting sometimes. And I was very sorry for this widow woman. She trusted John when he was alive and he promised her she will be his queen and then he killed her as the 12th offering.(Or was it the 11th?) And I think it was kind of obvious that Evie was the Lady Sun. Who else could it be? And the coat thing? Really? She is the Lady sun because she wears a golden coat. That's what you meant by Lady Sun? Well, anyway she stopped John with her magical powers.

There is much more I can say about this book, but I'll probably start repeating myself. This is a great book and everyone should totally read it. I hightly hightly recommend it!

Now all I have to do is wait for the next book.
See ya!

September girls by Bennett Madison

I'm not a fan of books about mermaids. The ones I have read are EPIC FAILS! But this one....this one is actually good. Very good. As you might have guessed I read it in September. And I'm posting the review just now. This is actually the review I posted on Goodreads so don't be suprised that I talk about summer and September and finishing this book yesterday.

16065555
When Sam's dad whisks him and his brother off to a remote beach town for the summer, he's all for it-- at first. Sam soon realizes, though, that this place is anything but ordinary. Time seems to slow down around here, and everywhere he looks, there are beautiful blond girls. Girls who seem inexplicably drawn to him.

Then Sam meets DeeDee, one of the Girls, and she's different from the others. Just as he starts to fall for her, she pulls away, leaving him more confused than ever. He knows that if he's going to get her back, he'll have to uncover the secret of this beach and the girls who live here.

Ok. So yeah, I finished it. And I don't really have much to say. And look at that. It was the end of summer yesterday. And I started this book yesterday. Coincidence, right? Well, I must say it was a great book to end the summer with. If I think about it some more I would say it is the best book I read this summer. But I'm writing this now so I won't say such a thing.
I lost the element of suprise that they were mermaids/ sirens. I just saw this question on Goodread: What do you think about the mermaids in September girls? I really thought it was a contemporary book. I mean, look at the cover and the title. It screams contemporary to me. But after finding it was YA I read it for less then 24 hours.
I was very confused with the changing chapters, you know, Sam chapter, then Mermaid chapter. (that's what I call them!) At first I thought it was just a random September girl talking and then I thought it was DeeDee, but I never thought about it being Kristle. I was happy about her in the end. Yeah, she didn't get to brake the curse, but she didn't exactly die. I think she would be happy where she is going. She is free now and she knows who she is. She is Kristle, she is herself.
The ending was kind of open. Am I the only one in the YA fandom who likes open endings? Like I loved Requiem by Lauren Oliver. I loved the ending. It made me feel like all these things in the books happend in the past and that it happend and people today just don't know about it. ANd the open ending here was great too. We don't really know what happent to DeeDee. Did she go to Paris? Did she ever left the beach? Or maybe she stayed, replacing Kristle as everyone's older sister, caring for them? And maybe if she left she met Sam again! And they lived happily ever after? No, I don't think they will! Maybe they will meet and be diffrent people now. Like in Persuasion by Jane Austen. So, I love open endings! And I think all books have open endings of some sort. There is always a second story that can be written. Like a sequel to the first, but not a sequel at all. No, a whole new story. A whole new defferent world and life.
Well, look at that! I sound clever. I loved this book. If you don't want to read the whole review just read this one sentence!

Strands of bronze and glod by Jane Nickerson

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you had a great Christmas with your families and your friends and I hope you read as much as I did. I re-read this book recently! It's a great re-telling. Oh, and I'm changing my reviews. I'm not gonna separate them into topics. It's gonna be just a long boring text nobody will read.

The Bluebeard fairy tale retold. . . .

When seventeen-year-old Sophia Petheram’s beloved father dies, she receives an unexpected letter.
An invitation—on fine ivory paper, in bold black handwriting—from the mysterious Monsieur Bernard de Cressac, her godfather. With no money and fewer options, Sophie accepts, leaving her humble childhood home for the astonishingly lavish Wyndriven Abbey, in the heart of Mississippi.

Sophie has always longed for a comfortable life, and she finds herself both attracted to and shocked by the charm and easy manners of her overgenerous guardian. But as she begins to piece together the mystery of his past, it’s as if, thread by thread, a silken net is tightening around her. And as she gathers stories and catches whispers of his former wives—all with hair as red as her own—in the forgotten corners of the abbey, Sophie knows she’s trapped in the passion and danger of de Cressac’s intoxicating world.

Glowing strands of romance, mystery, and suspense are woven into this breathtaking debut—a thrilling retelling of the “Bluebeard” fairy tale.

I just loved this book. There are so few retellings of the Bluebeard tale and this is the first one I read. I love fairy tale retellings. Not those modern ones like a Modern Cinderella or something like that. I love those who turn a short fairy tale into a 200-page novel.
But lets focus on this book. Firstly I love the cover. It`s one of the things that made me pick it up today. I`m kind of happy that there isn`t anything blue on it. I don`t know why. Maybe the same reason I bought a copy of The Portrait of Dorian Grey with Oscar Wilde on the cover. I told my mom then: I don`t want the cover to remind me of what`s inside the book!...Strange, huh!
Moving on. The story is set in 1855 in America, I think. I thought at first it was a modern day fairy tale, but then the heroine mentioned a bonnet and a carriage and I dismissed that though. The interesting thing about fairy tale retellings is that you know the main story and that makes you more interested in the writing style and the details than in the plot.
I always have high expectations for the heroes in a novel. The main heroine, Sophia, was not one of the best characters. I liked her curiosity though it got her into trouble. Other good trait of hers is how she is ready to help her family in any way even if it means marrying for such a monster as de Cressac and I think that's what I like the most in her. I am very fond of clever and bright heroines. Sophia was not the brightest girl I have ever read about. I always see signs in books and can sometimes predict how a book is going to end. And I`m quite irritated when the main hero or heroine can`t see those signs. I mean if Sophia was that curious and eager to find out what really happened to the other wives she would have used the keys the first time de Cressac left her alone and gave her the keys. And she saw what beast "her husband" can be at the very beginning when he found out about those love letters she had received long time ago. And he was keeping her isolated, he even hid the letters her family sent her.
As for de Cressac`s character I can`t say much. I think it was well build. Only sometimes it looked like he had schizophrenia. One minute he was good and caring and the next he was mad and full of rage. Maybe that was what the author wanted to imply.

However the book was very good and I recommend it! I hope yu read it and like it. The second re-telling by Jane Nickerson comes out 2014 and I'm hopingto get an ARC.

See ya next time with another post!

Every day by David Levithan

My first book by David Levithan. I read it a month ago, but I didn't have time to review it. So now when I have time I give you my again very short review.

Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.

There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.

It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.

Plot

Romance aside, this story is about people .. All kinds of people in all kinds of scenarios, with different lives and in different environments. It's the most wonderful book about what it means to be human. It takes you on a journey around the world not physically but emotionally, it travels through space and bodies and it talks about so many taboo subjects that you can't even imagine.. This, my dears, it's a real piece of art!
“I wake up thinking of yesterday.
The joy is in remembering; the pain is in knowing it was yesterday.”

You can learn a lesson from almost every chapter, you can be in the body of all kinds of people, struggling with their problems, creating others, trying to fix the unfixable or to keep untouched the precious moments in their lives.

You learn that actions have always consequences, that when you change things you have to assume the responsibility for doing so; you get glimpses into the head of so many types of people and at the end of the day not only you can learn a thing or two from it, but you can really become a better person.

It's not that the concept is entirely original (I remember seeing when I was young a movie series quite similar to this) but the amount of research needed for this story and the perfection with which it has been implemented turns this book into a real gem. It's fresh, it's well written, it is addictive and so full of precious content.

There are few books that have left an imprint on my life; this is definitely one of those.

A and Rhiannon

So as the book  descripton says, A doesn't have a body. He has moved from body to body since he was born. A is a name, by the way. We think of him as a boy but in fact he has no gender, and each day he can be a boy or a girl, having no control over where his soul might wake up in the next morning. He doesn't know why it happens, so don't try to find out because this is not what this story is about. Every day he wakes up and tries to find out as much about the person's life, so he doesn't mess things up for him/her.
Now his and Rhiannon's love was kind of love at first sight in my oppinion. I mean, A loved her instatly and she just thought that was her boyfriend Justin. But still... I guess I can understand why A loved her so fast. To him she is the symbol of the life he will never have. And so he gains more information about her every day and tries to meet her. And then he tells her the truth.

People A impersonated:

There are so many people we learn about when A takes their bodies for a day. Drug addict, fat person, geek, gay, transgender, homeschooled, mean girl, rock boy, suicidal girl and so many others.there was a selected group of people that can/will leave an impact on you. You might not relate to any of them, but you can understand them all. They all speak through A.'s voice and you might ask yourself if this is the author telling you life-changing stories, or the characters are really alive talking to you - they are so realistically portrayed. On each day, either the body was weighting on A, or the feelings were be pressing on him. He could feel the sorrow, the despair, the addiction but also the happiness, the calm, the hope and the love... It was such a beautiful orchestra of emotions playing in front of you - one that you can focus on each individual instrument and their beautiful, heartwarming music.

The ending:

So I must say I loved the ending. I have heard so many people saying they hated it and thay A shouldn't have left Rhiannon, but I think it was the right thing to do. They couldn't just go on like that. A different body every day. Not being able to live together and Rhiannon not being able to see how A really looks like. So he left her and I like to think that maybe she had a happy life with this boy that A impersonated in the last chapter. Cause that's what A wants. Right? He want sher to be happy.

This book was beautiful and all should read it. Comment and tell me what you think. I'll see ya next time with another book review in an hour.

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and Daid Levithan

That's just a quick review. Really short, no more than my general oppinion. I'm not going to discuss it in details.

“I’ve left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”

So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

Rachel Cohn and David Levithan have written a love story that will have readers perusing bookstore shelves, looking and longing for a love (and a red notebook) of their own.

This was a great Christmas-y read. It's basicly a love story. The main character, Dash, finds a red notebook in a bookstore. There are clues there left by a girl called Lily. They start comunicating through the red notebook and they fall in love and try hard to find each other. As I said, a love story, but there were those moments, those very deep philosophical moments in the book where it didn't seeme entirely like a romance. However I loved it. I liked Lily more than Dash. Maybe because I'm a girl (Well, duh!) but it's probably because Lily is a "wierd girl" as she herself said. And aren't all fangirl book lover girls wierd in some way.
I liked that there are two authors of this book. On the one hand we have Rachel Cohn:

“Cinderella was such a dork. She left behind her glass slipper at the ball and then went right back to her step-monster's house. It seems to me she should have worn the glass slipper always, to make herself easier to find. I always hoped that after the prince found Cinderella and they rode away in their magnificent carriage, after a few miles she turned to him and said, "Could you drop me off down the road please? Now that I've finally escaped my life of horrific abuse, I'd like to see something of the world, you know? I'll catch back up with you later, Prince, once I've found my own way.”

And on the other- David Levithan:

"Aesthetic and utilitarian considerations aside," I said, "Those mittens don't particularly make sense. Why would you want to hitchhike to the North Pole? Isn't the whole gimmick of Christmas that there's home delivery? You get up there, all you're going to find is a bunch of exhausted, grumpy elves. Assuming, of course, that you accept the mythical presence of a workshop up there, when we all know there isn't even a pole at the North Pole, and if global warming continues, there won't be any ice, either."
This book is just full of great quotes like those two. I love it and I bet you will love it too. Once you read it. Now go read it.

Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

First of all, I'm so so sorry for not posting anything for a week. I've been so busy with school and reading that I actually had no time for reviewing. And the week is not over yet. But let me start with the review.

7514925
Before Peter Pan belonged to Wendy, he belonged to the girl with the crow feather in her hair. . . .

Fifteen-year-old Tiger Lily doesn't believe in love stories or happy endings. Then she meets the alluring teenage Peter Pan in the forbidden woods of Neverland and immediately falls under his spell.

Peter is unlike anyone she's ever known. Impetuous and brave, he both scares and enthralls her. As the leader of the Lost Boys, the most fearsome of Neverland's inhabitants, Peter is an unthinkable match for Tiger Lily. Soon, she is risking everything—her family, her future—to be with him. When she is faced with marriage to a terrible man in her own tribe, she must choose between the life she's always known and running away to an uncertain future with Peter.

With enemies threatening to tear them apart, the lovers seem doomed. But it's the arrival of Wendy Darling, an English girl who's everything Tiger Lily is not, that leads Tiger Lily to discover that the most dangerous enemies can live inside even the most loyal and loving heart.

From the New York Times bestselling author of Peaches comes a magical and bewitching story of the romance between a fearless heroine and the boy who wouldn't grow up.

Tiger Lily

I always loved Peter Pan. The book, I mean, but I never really had a favourite character. Now I know that Tiget Lily is my favourite. Some of you might say: What about Wendy? Nah! Wendy was always the damsel that needed saving. Tiger Lily on the other hand is her exact oposite. She is brave and badass and all kinds of cool. I loved her story. How Tick-tock found her under a flower and brought her to the village. And that thing with the crow feathers in her hair. So good. I hated how they made her marry this awful guy. I don't even remember his name. But his mother was way worse than him. If she didn't like Tiger Lily whu did she insist on her son marrying her? I'm happy she died.

Tik-tok, Philip and some other stuff

I hated how Philip just went to the village and started talking about God and thing like that. Typical English. Trying to make the tribe Christian. He just goes there and...and...I'm just so mad at him! Not that he was  saying anything wrong, but he was behaving like some kind of God or at least that's how I see it. Tik-tok was a unique character. The way he wore dresses and he wasn't afraid that anyone would judge him. He was a great father to Tiger Lily. And then we go back to Philip. UGH! How could he make Tick-tok cut his hair and start wearing pants. That's discrimination! I was so sad when Tik-tok died. I wish Philip had died instead. I think he got what he deserved. I was so happy when this thing with the crows happend. You know when there were crows everywhere and the tribe though it was the gods. Another interesting detail was that the story about the crocodile was explained.

Hook, Smee, Peter Pan

We don't get a lot of Hook in this book, but there were a few things added to his story. There was a reason why he wanted to kill Peter. A strange reason, but still it wasn't just because Peter was there. Smee was maybe one of my most un-favourite character. He liked to kill people. Or he like to mourn the people he killed. At least that's what I got. And Smee was stalking Tiger Lily. Creepy! So, moving on! I know Peter is a main character, but I still left him for the end. He wasn't very different from his original version. Wild and fun and someone you can easyly fall in love with. I mean, who wouldn't. I can totally understand Wendy and Tinker bell and Tiger Lily and all the mermaids. And there was this little change from the original book. You know, the tribes and the lost boys were friend in the original story, but here the tribes thought Peter is some kind of monster which was a great twist to the story.

The Ending

I read a lot of review before I started the book, so I knew the ending would be sad. It wasn't that sad for me. I didn't cry or something. Sad books are a good read now and then. Of course, Peter couldn't stay in Neverland, because that would mean being with Tiger lily and we all now that just couldn't happen. So he went to London and married Wendy. And the lost boys stood up at their wedding. I can imagine Peter walking the streets of London already grown up and thinking about the past. About the pirates and the meramids and Tiger lily and the horses. If I was a painter I could have drawn it, but I'm not a good artist so I can't, but I know they will invent a mind reading machine some day and I'll be able to see it. OK I'm kidding! Back to the book. The letter was just too sad. And I was on the verge of crying. Now about Tiger lily's end. I loved it. It was happy. Well, almost happy. She got to marry and had children and I guess she was happy. She didn't love  Pine Sap the same way she loved Peter, but as Peter said himself: There are diffrent kinds of love. And she stayed fifteen forever. I don't know if that's a burden. Probably! Staying fifteen while your daughter and your husband grow old.

Tinker Bell

I saved Tink for the last. I never expected the story to be from her point of view, but it was very interesting this way. That way I saw more of te story not only Tiger Lily and her adventures. Also that way we don't get to know what the characters think and feel and that makes it even more cool and mysterious. I liked that we get to learn about fairies too.

I guess that's it! Ths book was so magical and beautiful and sad. I want to go to Neverland and hunt and run and just be free and a child again. Well, I'm not a grown up yet, but I'm not a child either.
I'll see ya next time!

Crewel(Crewel world #1) by Gennifer Albin

11556960
Incapable. Awkward. Artless.
That’s what the other girls whisper behind her back. But sixteen-year-old Adelice Lewys has a secret:
She wants to fail.
Gifted with the ability to weave time with matter, she’s exactly what the Guild is looking for, and in the world of Arras, being chosen to work the looms is everything a girl could want. It means privilege, eternal beauty, and being something other than a secretary. It also means the power to manipulate the very fabric of reality. But if controlling what people eat, where they live, and how many children they have is the price of having it all, Adelice isn’t interested.
Not that her feelings matter, because she slipped and used her hidden talent for a moment. Now she has one hour to eat her mom’s overcooked pot roast. One hour to listen to her sister’s academy gossip and laugh at her dad’s jokes. One hour to pretend everything’s okay. And one hour to escape.

Because tonight, they’ll come for her.

Cover:

This cover is so much better than the Bulgarian one. In this one you can see the threads and Adelis's face. The Bulgarian cover is just black with photo a of a red-haired girl that looks like photoshopped!

The plot:

The idea of the book is very interesting and original. I like the main character Adelice. She wasn't annoying or stupid, but the first 75% of the book were slow for me. I'm saying it like there are another 75%! :) But the last part of the book was very very good. And the end was just great. That's how most dystopian books should end. I'm not planning on reading the second book soon, because I have other plans before the year is over.

Jost and Erik:

OK! The one most annoying thing in the book was the potential love triangle. I'm not of big fan of love triangles anyway.
SPOILER!!!
I'm so happy that Adelice chose Jost. I liked him better the whole time. At least I hope she chose Jost! She did, right? I figured out the two of them were brothers pretty fast. Which made me even more annoyed. A love triangle with two brothers and a girl? So Vampire Diaries style! But I'm happy with the way things closed.
SPOILER STOP!!!
And my only concern is that Adelice will switch the brothers in the second book. Or worse, that I'll switch teams! I mean, it has happend a lot before.

Emily and Adelice's mother: SPOILERS!!

I have thi little theory that Jost's daughter and Emily are actually the same person. I just have this feeling. I'm probably wrong, but still...Maybe they just remaped Adelice's and her parents' brains to make them thing she is their daughter when actually she is not. That would be cool and strange. And where do you think Adelice's mother is? She is alive for sure, but where can she be hiding.

Hourglass:

Now this mark Adelice's father left on her hand. And hourglass. What do you think it means? I think it's like the symbol of revolution agains Aras. And her father was secretly involved in the planning of the revolution. On the other hand it may mean the Adelice has to save Aras. Sort of, like her time is running out. That's why an hourglass.

I guess that's all. The book is not bad and in the end it's simply amazing. What do you think? Comment, please!
I'll see ya next time!!

Opal (Lux #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.
After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

Ok! So I just finished this book today and I must say this one is my favourite so far. This series just keeps getting better.

The Covers

This is not exactly connected to this book, but to all the books in the series. What's with those covers? Why do they have to be all Kat and Daemon? Can they just make some covers with an opal necklase or an obsidian blade or onyx or something? Have you seen the cover of the next book? Don't get me wrong! I love Daemon, but this is a bot to much. I'm not a fan of covers with half naked guys.

The Ending (Spoilers!)

Really? Everyone has been raving about the ending of this book and what an epic cliffhanger it is. Well, I figured it out before that and really it's not suprising at all. I won't be suprised by the next book either. Someone already spoiled it for me! Thank you very much my dear friends on Goodreads! I have the fourth book already so it's not such a big problem!

Romance

Of course, we get a lot of Katy and Daemon in this book! They had a love/hate realationship in the first book. Then they proved their love in the second one and now it's time to be happy in the third book. Well, as happy as they can be with the DOD and Will. I loved their romance and that it wasn't very cheesy or something. They got really romantic in this book. I almost expected Kat to end up pregnant.

Dee

I really wanted to slap Dee at times in this book. Yeah, she is having a hard time with Adam's death, but isn't she being a bit dramatic over it. She never really showed that much affection towards Adam. They went on dates and they had sex. That's all! And what has Kat done? Did she kill Adam? NO! It was Blake. So stop being a bitch, woman!

Blake and Love triangles

Ok! I think we all know Blake loves Katy. But Katy and Blake....not happening. So technically there is no love triangle. I don't know why authors these days love writing love triangles. Maybe because people won't read their book without a love triangle. That's just some authors. Love triangles are very hard to write. Most of the time they annoy the hell out of me. Like the one in Twilight! God I hate this one!
But lest go back to Blake. I did the awful mistake of trusting him. Again. And he betrayed my trust. Again! Really can't this guy choose if he wants to be good or bad.

Dawson

With Dawson back I was afraid there will be some accident when Kat doesn't set apart Daemon and Dawson and something like that. And then Kat and Daemon will fight about it and break up. Thankfully that didn't happen. Dawson was all sad and depressed about Beth. I loved that moment when he and Daemon and Kat were watching zombie movies. It was hillarious. Aliens watching movies about zombies! I have more to say about Dawson, but I just can't remember right now!

That's everything, I guess! Have a good week and I'll post more later!

Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth

OK! It's that time! I think everyone has seen my Divergent review. I did it after I finished Allegiant, because I can't just write a review of the third book withour writing one on the first book.

17383918One choice will define you.

What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the
dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

Reading progress

I just want to take a moment to show you my reading progress. Just because I think it's fun to see:

100% done- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NO NO NO NO!!!!
As you can see there are a lot of exclamation marks.

The Ending

We all know that's what everyone's talking about these days. The Ending or as I call it: That time Veronica Roth decided to turn into George R.R. Martin. I have been heearing all kinds of things about this ending. From: That's the worst ending ever! to That was the most beautiful ending ever! I must say I liked the ending. It was very...poetic. I mean, someone had to die. Right? And we all expected it to be Four. I wanted him to die at some point of the book. Don't get me wrong! I love Four. I would love to marry him and live with him, but if I had to choose between Tris and Four, Four will have to die. Cause we all love Tris! Tris has grown on me, because we are alike. Yeah, I know that sounds dull and stupid and I'm not saying that I'm ready to get shot to save my brother. But who knows? Maybe I'll know if I had a brother or a sister to protect! And even if I'm not like a Tris I can't help, but admire her. She is so selfless! I don't think anyone can be that selfless.
But let's continue on The Ending. I had lots of theories for it. 1. Four is gonna die!
2. Chicago will get restarted! 3. Four or Triss will have to take the Memory serum! 4. Happy end!
So, yeah none of those happend, but they would have made great endings, all of them. Well, maybe not the first one.
And now what's going to happen in the future? I bet Four will make the world a better place for Tris's sake. Hell, he'll probably make a statue of her in the center of Chicago!
Oh and one more thing. You all know there are going to be Divergent movies. Imagine how will all of us feel when the third movie comes out. We will have to live trough it all over again. All the tears and the pain and the depression.
I never believed that Tris was really dead. When she saw her mother's "ghost" I thought she was hallucinating and that it's because of the death serum. Or maybe her mother was a divergent and she survived. Was Tris's mom Divergent? I remeber reading about it, but it might have been jist some FanFiction!
And then they told Four about it and I didn't believe it. I was like: No, she is alive! Thay only think she is dead! Or she is in coma and she is gonna wake up in the end of the book! The book is probably gonna end on her opening her eyes! Yes, that's how books end! Alas, I stopped believing it when they scattered her ashes. Now I won't talk about this anymore, because I'm going to cry again. I almost cried in Maths today when a friend of mine told me she had just started "Insurgent". A fangirl can only take this much feels for less than 24 hours!

Character deaths (I blame Four!!):

So Uraih! Poor great cool funny Uraih! I'll miss him very mutch. I felt like: Ok, so Tris died, but Uraih's going to live! Right? Nope, not a chance! And I must say that his death was an accident and I don't blame anyone.......Who am I kidding? I blame Four! You should have listened to you girlfriend you stupid hot-headed sexy idiot! But you got what you deserved. Well, almost! Zeke should have punched you. That would have taught you! And talking about how Four was stupid, lets talk about Nita! I never liked her. She just had that vibe that shouted "bad" around her. I'm happy she ended in prison. And if you have been following my reading updates you have already seen the "kind" note I wrote her!
Umm...Where was I? Sorry I got distracted by Percy Jackson! So many fandoms, so little time! *sight* Oh, yeah! Another character  I'm gonna miss very very much is Tori! Dear, badass Tori. Oh, she could have had a happy ending! If she had gotten to the campground she could have met her brother and she could have been happy. But she didn't! She died! Thank you very much, Miss Roth! I really thought she will be a part of the team that reaches the Fence. And then she just died. Like that! I always remebered her as a great person, I mean character. She was good to Tris and helped her, but I recently re-read Insurgent and she wasn't very likable in it. She didn't trust Tris and she was just so obsessed with killing Janine!

Petere, Christina and other people who are still alive:

Now Peter time! There were these moments in the book where I really liked him! I know people hate him, but he saved Tris's life a few times and in this book we find oyt that this acident with Edward was really an accident. I wish Veronica Roth had told us what really happend. And in this book those little jokes with Four and stuff. I'm happy things ended well for him. Yeah, he chose the cowardy way by getting the Abneration serum, but he was happy. For some people is too hard to live with awful things they have done. And he chose to forget them. Case closed!
Christina. Blessed, saint Christina! She was a great friend and her and Tris's realtionship lasted so long. They stayed friends until the end. And yeah, they had a great big fight, because Tris shot Will, but they got over it. And there was this friendship between Christina and Four after Tris died. Christina stopped Four from taking The Abneration serum and she was there for him. I think Christina lost almost all people she loved. I mean, this girl must be cursed to love guys who die. And now you say "There was only Will!" But I'm sure there could have been something between her and Uraih. Am I the only one who saw it?
Four's mother was...well, I liked her in the end. That moment when she gave up ruling Chicago for her son was just great. And when they meet again they are like a family and she is there for him.
Caleb! I stopped liking him in the end of the first book. I had this feeling he is not gonna be good and I was right. He shouldn't have let Tris take the serum instead of him. Yep, I blame him.

Tris and Four relationship:

Tris anf Four's realtionship was up and down in this book. In Divergent it was all perfect and lovely. Kisses and love, love, love! In Insurgent we get the first fight, the lies and so on. And in Allegiant they are in some middle ground. They fight, but theu still love each other. That made their ralationship seem much more real.

Quotes:

This book is big on quotes. Funny quotes and clever ones. I'm just going some of my favourites with you:

But that wasn´t the first time I ever saw her. I saw her in the hallways at school, and at my mother’s false funeral, and walking the sidewalks in the Abnegation sector. I saw her, but I didn’t see her; no one saw her the way she truly was until she jumped. I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last.

I  didn't know that idiocy caused people to just start spontaneously bleeding from the nose.
The first step to loving someone else is to recognize the evil in ourselves, so we can forgive them.
“Yes," she says, her eyes bright with tears. "My dear child, you've done so well.” (This one always makes me cry!)
Being honest doesn't mean you say whatever you want, wherever you want. It means that what you choose to say is true.
It's Not sacrifice if it's someone else's life you're giving away, it's just evil.
About the last quote. Who the hell said that? I'm pretty sure that was the thing that made Tris go in the Weapons room instead of Caleb!

Ok! So I guess that's it! I'll see you next time with another book review!

The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle #2) by Maggie Stiefvater

17370618Review time! If you haven't read the first book I don't recommend you reading this. Oh hell. You shouldn't read it if you haven't read the second book. It's full of SPOILERS!

The second installment in the all-new series from the masterful, #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater!

Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after...

The Ending:

The Ending!!! What the hell? What was that? I think I can call it a cliffhanger! What happend to Maura? Did she got consmed by the scrying bowl or something? Someone should explain it to me! And this note! Glendower! How? Why? What? Now everyone's going to get together to find Glendower and Maura! Cala and The raven boys and Blue and Persephone and there is going to be badass psychic stuff and Ronan and Gansey with all his machines and Adam who is now Cabeswater's eyes and ears and, of course, Blue who pretty much does nothing. I'm kidding. Can you make this happen, Magie? Please, Miss Stiefvater! Pretty please!

The Battle

Now I think there should have been a little more details in the battle between Ronan and Kavinsky. That's nightmares vs. a dragon. A! DRAGON! But I guess Ronan is not into details. He is a man of action. Someone should write a book about nightmare and dragons. Oh, wait, That's George R.R. Martin!

Gansey and Blue or Kisses and Relationships:

Ummm.......They didn't kiss. Which was a dissappointment, but not a suprise. But their relationship ivolved. I'm not sure if that's the right word. What about "there is an upgrate"? Yeah, it sounds better. I'm happy Blue stopped denying her destiny, because I was getting tired shouting at her to stop. Going against fate is bad. That's what Greek mythology teached me. Adam was not for her. Oh, and I think I pulled some pages of the book from my dreams. Did Noah and Blue really kiss? I'm almost sure I dreamed this. It's just so...Wow. Obviously they are not going to be a couple, but the idea of them kissing is just so...strange. It was the only kiss in the book anyway. I so wish for Blue and Gansey to kiss. There was this time when I thought they would. I'm sure 80 percent of the readers thought the same thing. But atleast they can't deny it anymore. They love each other and that's it.

Bulgaria

You probably don't know, but I live in Bulgaria, in Europe. It's a small country really. And I get over-exited when I see Bulgaria mentioned in non-Bulgarian books. So I was dancing around when I found out Kavinsky listens to Bulgarian music and I even found the song he was listening to. Bravo Maggie Stiefvater. You even used Bulgarian words.

Ronan

So, Ronan was never my favourite in the first book.  But in this book I just want to hug him. Not because I feel sorry for him, but because he is such a cool character. And he is gay which was a great twist. I never expected it. I should re-read both books now that I know that. And I hope he can save his mother. And I don't know what to think of this girl from his dreams. He is not gonna end up with him for sure. He is probably going to dream himself another Adam.

Adam

Adam had great issues in this book. He is so afraid not to turn into his dad that he can't notice he actually is turning into his dad. It was hard for him when Blue broke up with him. (Like they ever had a chance together!) God bless Persephone for helping him. He is like A magician now. Right? Well, I guess that a mahician is not the right word. He is Cabeswater's eyes and ears.

This was a great book and I recommend it. Go read it.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

So I want to write a review of my favourite book ever. Divergent by Veronica Roth!! If you haven't read this book, then what have you been doing with your life, people? So, yeah, read it, re-read it, because it's awsome!

13335037In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue--Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is--she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles alongside her fellow initiates to live out the choice they have made. Together they must undergo extreme physical tests of endurance and intense psychological simulations, some with devastating consequences. As initiation transforms them all, Tris must determine who her friends really are--and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes exasperating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers unrest and growing conflict that threaten to unravel her seemingly perfect society, Tris also learns that her secret might help her save the ones she loves . . . or it might destroy her.

So, I won't talk abou the world in this book. Because whatever you have to learn, you can from the description of it. They idea is quite original. I read this last year and I still haven't found a dystopian book that has the similar idea. When I first got the book, I thought it will be something about superheroes and stuff like that. But I was really wrong. Divergents are not superheroes, they don't have and strange powers. I think they're just more developed than he others. They can be honest and clever and brave at the same time, for example!

Characters:

There are great, likeable characters in the book, characters you can fall in love with and characters you want to kiss and...do other things. And then there are some characters you want to strangle or trow a knife at or trow in The Pit or fire a gun at or make them live in their Fear Landscape.

Lets start with the main heroine, Beatris "Tris" Prior. She is a character I always wanted to be like. She is selfless and brave and clever. I thing the hardest of them all for me would be being brave. Is there anything I don't like in Tris? She doesn't stop talking abot how she is not the prettiest girl and she is not good enough. I don't know if someone else noticed it, but it was poking me in the eyes all the time. Did you notice it? Also, I always imagined Tris as Veronica Roth although they are completely different.
Moving on. Best Male Lead Role goes to Four. He is, of course. the love interest in this book. A thing in this book I'm very grateful for is that there is no love triangle. Just Tris and Four and no other gyus and girls showing up there and spoiling the fun. Four being Tris's instructor made me imagine him as much older than he actually is. Well, Tris didn't exactly pay that much attention to his looks. Yeah, she metioned his eyes, but other  than that nothing. I really wasn't suprised to find out from which Cast he came. Tris's mother helped a lot.
Christina was a fun character. And again I couldn't imagine her as she was described in the book. In my mind she had long black hair and green eyes.  I can't really say much about her. She was a good friend to Tris. Although I was reall pissed when she was jealous of Tris for being the best in Initiation. Really, is that all it takes to start being a fair weather friend? But enough on this. The Will/Christina relationship was very sweet. Too bad they didn't get a chance to be together.
Now I just want to rant about Will. SPOILERS! Tris could have just shot him in the hand or something like that. But no, she had to kill him. That should have gave the fans the hint that there is going to be death in this trilogy, lot's of death!  As someone who has already read Allegiant, I should know! SPOILERS END!

Other characters:

Now my least favourite character was All! Most people think it's Erik, but at least Erik wasn't whiny and afraid to punch someone. All started okay as a character, but as the book went on, he became less likeable and then he became grumpy and then he attacked Tris. I think she was right not to forgive him. I wouldn't have either! And why did he even choose Dauntless if he is afraid to fight? I wouldn't want to puch my friends, but that was just once and after that he became a cry baby. And I think the simulations really freaked him out. Maybe he had too many fears. I won't be suprised actually.
And Erick! I didn't like him. And I don't think he is really the evil guy. He is just being used by Janine. And you know he is a grown-up Peter. He is just jealous of Four. Oh, and I like to imagine Peter actually has a crush on Tris, but he doesn't know how to flirt. That's why he is so mean. I would really like that. I would like to see that he isn't that evil and that he is just hiding behind this fasade.
Tris's mother was a character I really want to know more about. She is kind of mystirious. We know she used to be Dauntless and she became Abneration, because she was a Divergent. But that's what Tris know! And we all know that you can't trust what the main character assumes.
Oh, and I almost forgot Uraih! Maybe he ws truly the best friend Tris had in this book. I mean, they didn't spend that much time together, but he helped her and he was funny. Not that those are the mostimportant qualities, but I like him nevertheless!
And I totally forgot about Tori. I don't really think her brother is dead. He probably ran away when he found out he was Divergent. There is this thing I don't like in her, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Fear Landscape:

Now the Fear landscape was a very interesting moment in the book. I will surely have more than seven fears. But less than twenty. I probably won't be able to calm down or face my fears and I'll be stuck in my fears forever. As much as I would like to imagine otherwise!

I recommend this book to EVERYONE! Just read it people! It's awsome and you won't be able to put it down!
Oh check this thing I found:  That's how I felt the day Allegiant came out! And I think we all know how I felt after I finished reading it!

Vicious by V.E. Schwab

So, this is my first review on this blog and I'm not sure how to start it. Let me give you some information about the book first.

13638125A masterful, twisted tale of ambition, jealousy, desire, and superpowers.
Victor and Eli started out as college roommates—brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. In their senior year, a shared research interest in adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals an intriguing possibility: that under the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary abilities. But when their thesis moves from the academic to the experimental, things go horribly wrong.
Ten years later, Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl whose reserved nature obscures a stunning ability. Meanwhile, Eli is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered person that he can find—aside from his sidekick, an enigmatic woman with an unbreakable will. Armed with terrible power on both sides, driven by the memory of betrayal and loss, the archnemeses have set a course for revenge—but who will be left alive at the end?

Sounds cool, right? And let me tell you it's one of the best books I have ever read. I love Victoria Schwab. I have read all of her books and I'm probably gonna write reviews on them soon. I'll Try to devide this review into part like: Characters, World, Ending. And there will be a Spoilers Alert in big red letters, because I don't want to spoil the book for people who haven't read it yet.

Characters:  Super cool people and some not so cool people and some awful people:

There are all types of people in this book. And you can't really say: This one is good! or This one is bad. They are all a mash of good and bad, they are compicated human beings like all of us. And that, of course, makes them realistic which is a thing I love in books. It's really so hard to find realistic characters these days. Most of the time I see whiny Bellas, artistic Clarys, clever Annabeths etc.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
Now people who have read the book will probably ask me who I prefer, Eli or Victor? I must say Victor. I don't even know why. Maybe because he didn't see himself as good. He knew not all things he was doing were good. He wanted revenge. If I were him I would have done the same. Well, not exactly the same, but I would have wanted revenge too. I couldn't see anything good in Eli. Victor hated him and I started hating him too. Even when reading through his perspective I couldn't stop disliking him. But as I said he did what he believed was right. (Even though it was wrong!) Maybe there are people out there who think Eli did the right thing. I almost expected Eli to kill Serena, because of that time when he said:
You are going to forget to say those words some day.
I don't know what to think of Serena. What kind of sister does the thing she did? Really, I know you became heartless after you died, but you must have some humanity or love left in you, woman. If not for your parents then at least for your sister. But she did the right thing in the end. I'm not quite sure why she killed herself. (I decided to call it like that. After all she ordered Mitch to fite the gun!) Maybe she finally saw that what Eli did was wrong. Or maybe it was because she loved her sister and didn't want Eli to kill her. (Sidney, not Serena!) I don't know! And I probably never will!

Moving on to Sidney. I had a hard time imagining her as a 13 year old. I imagined her as a 16 year old or as a little child. And she is practicly in the middle. I can't say much about her. She was a good character. Maybe the purest thing in this book.(If we don't count her dog, Dol!) I loved her in the end of this book. But about that later. Who is next? Oh, yes Mitch. He was...well, I can't exactly describe him. Even though there were chapters from his perspective I never got into his personality. Nevertheless I liked him. Really, I don't know why and I don't have anything to say about him I just thought he was a good character.

The Ending:

Now!! Let's talk about *Drums, please!* THE ENDING! After reading around 90% of the book I had the feeling that both Victor and Eli were going to die. It just couldn't have a happy ending. It was not right. And it didn't have a happy ending. Victor died and Eli was sent to jail. I'm wondering if he is immortal then is he going to stay in jail forever. I wish! I kind of imagine him in jail. Still looking 21, but infact 60. (He is like Dorian Grey, you know? But at least Dorian killed himself in the end!) So Eli is in jail and years pass and he is still there and can't get out, because his only power is regeneration. And as time passes people forget who he is or what he did and don't let him out. And then the jail gets abandoned and they forget about him. So he stays there forever and one day in desperation he kills himself. Or maybe he doesn't and he stays there forever. Yeah, my imagination running wild. So, lets go back to Victor. He dies. I was going to cry when he died, but I didn't. Because I knew Sidney will bring him back. I was laughing out loud and dancing around the room when I read the last sentence. It's good I wasn't in a public place when I read the end, but in my room. People would have thought I was crazy.
I like to imagine what happend after the end. Like did Sindey and Victor and Mitch lived togheter. What are they going to do now that Eli is gone. Maybe Victor is going to become a doctor or they will start training other EOs to use thier powers. Like X-men! That would be cool but I don't see it happenning. (Well, actually I do. I imagine it quite clearly. But it's never going to happen! So...) Or maybe they part ways and live different lifes. No, that's not going to happen! I like them being together!!

The World:

And now last, the world. The book was set in the not-so-far future. It wasn't that different from the present really. But there were EOs and technology and that kind of things. It really felt at times like it was set in some different place or dimention.

Recommendation:

I recommend this book to anyone who likes YA or books about heroes or dystpian books and even if you don't like any of those, you still should read this book. It's the best!

I'll see ya next time! Bye!
